FAQ
Do you take walk-ins?
I work by appointment only, but you can check out my Instagram @alisatoddtattoo for updates on last minute cancellations and openings.
Why did I not get a reply to my email?
Unfortunately I can’t reply to every request. I am currently focusing on large/medium scale black and gray florals. I will also post predrawn designs from time to time. I am not tattooing anything in color, lettering, or small (5 minute) tattoos. I try to take on projects that will best fit my style and that I know I will enjoy doing.
I will open my books every every other month. All of the information for when I am booking for what month is in my Instagram bio. I do not typically respond to requests when my books are closed and ask that people who’d like to schedule send in a project request when my books open.
Can you finish an existing tattoo from a different artist?
No, I am currently only working on my own designs.
Can you do my tattoo with less black ink/more delicate or similar to another artist?
No. I use the amount of black that I do for a reason - longevity. I can only draw and tattoo in the way that I know. I cannot mimic another artist’s work as every artist has their own individual style. What you see on my Instagram is the best representation of how I tattoo. If you do not like it/want it altered, then I am simply not the right artist for the project.
What kind of things do you not tattoo?
I’m not currently tattooing lettering, color, small tattoos, other artists work, or birth month flowers.
How much will my tattoo cost?
This all depends on how long it takes. I charge $170 ($180 beginning August 2024) and typically work on medium - large scale tattoos. Large scale work typically takes multiple sessions to complete. To get a quote, please send a new project request through the website.
What is the deposit for?
A deposit is a non-refundable and non-transferable amount that secures the artists time for the appointment as well as their time prepping for the design. The deposit amount goes toward the overall price of the tattoo. I may require larger or additional deposit amounts for additional drawing or frequent reschedules.
Can I see the design prior to the appointment?
I unfortunately do not send designs before appointments. Please make sure that you are comfortable with this prior to booking the appointment. If you’d like to make any changes (big or small), we can always do so at the appointment.
What should I bring to my appointment?
You can bring whatever will make you more comfortable! Entertainment (headphones/book), snacks+drinks (I can provide these as well), a sweater/blanket as most people get cold while getting tattooed for an extended period of time.
What if I have to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Rescheduling/cancelling less than 48 hours of your appointment and no call no shows will result in you forfeiting your deposit. I am happy to reschedule up to 48 before the appointment.
Do you take card as payment?
I do take card, however, there is a 3.5% transaction fee for card transactions. Please keep this in mind and bring cash if you would like to avoid the transaction fee.
Can I bring a guest to my tattoo appointment?
Currently only the client is allowed to enter the studio. My private studio is quite small and there is space for the client/artist only.
What about COVID?
I take my clients’ safety very seriously. In addition to Oregon’s standard sanitation practices, I have implemented additional practices to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
- All appointments may be subject to reschedule last minute if you are feeling ill/have been around someone who is sick
- All clients are asked to wear a mask that covers both mouth and nose
- Practitioner will wear extra PPE, including face shield, mask, apron, etc.
